Voters awakened !

On March 25, residents thronged Purana Quila to participate in Voter Awareness campaign organised by Delhi RWAs Joint Front, where many self-help groups and NGOs also participated.

A resident of Masjid Moth Ranju Minhas said, "It is the beginning of a movement. We are trying to create awareness about the importance of voting among residents of posh areas. We are also reaching people through various social networking sites like Facebook, etc. Urban voters discuss their issues in just drawing rooms. We are trying to bring them out. A large number of residents from Safdarjung Enclave, Greater Kailash, Laxmi Nagar, etc participated in the event."

During this event, residents painted a 70-feet giant banner and many posters to spread the message. About 400 students, young voters and residents made the event, a huge success.

Presidents of various RWAs urged residents to come out and vote. A GK-I resident Rajiv Kakria said, "People should vote as it is for their benefit only."
